The Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS) currently offers 18 open-access (free) online courses on Biological Wastewater Treatment. The courses cover a variety of topics suitable for all wastewater treatment professionals whether they are academicians, students or practitioners. |

Open for applications now, non-PhD students may also apply. |

New research reveals some seagrasses are resilient to climate change |
Seagrasses and seaweeds make up coastal wetlands, which are among the world’s most efficient carbon sinks: seagrasses sequester three to five times more carbon from the atmosphere than the equivalent area of tropical forest. However, Researcher in Applied Aquatic Ecology Lucy Gwen Gillis warns we should not jump to conclusions and calls for more research. |

IHE Delft strengthens ties with AfWASA by supporting GSGS alumni membership |
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed 19 February by IHE Delft Rector Eddy Moors and AfWASA Executive Director Francois Olivier Gosso, foresees IHE Delft supporting AfWASA membership for graduates of the Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS), a rigorous sanitation curriculum platform used at 50+ universities and institutions around the world. GSGS, founded jointly by IHE Delft and the Gates Foundation, has enrolled more than 1,400 MSc students since its launch in 2017. |
