City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation - This course aims to enhance understanding and application of the City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) approach in addressing urban sanitation challenges, promoting a paradigm shift towards sustainable sanitation service provision.

Organizing Water - This course focuses on how water management is organized in the Global South and the Global North, and what choices are made in that process. Addressing the 64 graduates from 29 countries who graduated with a MSc degree in Water and Sustainable Development, graduation speaker Kathleen Ferrier, Chair of the Netherlands Commission for UNESCO, called on the new IHE Delft alumni to carry the flame of education into the world and use their knowledge to change lives, communities and continents. |

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) is now open to female applicants at IHE Delft. Million Bekele Demissie from Ethiopia wins 2025 IHE Delft Alumni Award |
The 2025 IHE Delft Alumni Award winner, Million Bekele Demissie, has brought clean and safe water and energy to millions in Ethiopia. Graduating in 2012 from IHE Delft – UNESCO – with an MSc in Water Science and Engineering, specializing in Hydro-Informatics, she has been recognized by the IHE Delft jury for her transformative impact on communities and the country’s water and energy sector. She will return to the Netherlands in November to be honoured at the Opening Academic Year & Alumni Award Ceremony. |

Coastal Risk Index finalist for 2025 Anthem Awards |
The open-source platform Coastal Risk Index (CRI), an online risk assessment tool for vulnerable coastal ecosystems developed by a team including Johan Reyns, IHE Delft Lecturer/Researcher in Coastal Morphodynamics and Rosh Ranasinghe, IHE Delft Professor of Climate Change Impacts & Coastal Risk, has been selected as a finalist for the 2025 Anthem Awards. The award celebrates individuals and organisations making outstanding contributions to social impact and inspiring global change. |
